I’ll totally own up to it: I am a Maxxinista. I have a borderline unhealthy addiction to TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and Homegoods. Honestly, I probably hit the stores up 3-4 times a month. Much of my closet is stocked with my designer bargain finds from the stores, and many of my favorite trinkets in my apartment come from Homegoods. Maybe it’s all the time I spend browsing lifestyle blogs and Pinterest these days, but something about shopping for clothing and home decor has become so interconnected for me.
So imagine my excitement when I found Asquared: a local boutique that combines unique apparel and accessories with home goods you can’t find anywhere else. Basically: better than Homegoods and TJ Maxx.
Though my original motive for stopping by Asquared was to write an article for Jupiter Magazine, I definitely can’t wait to go back for more. Stepping in the store even feels like being at home – comfy armchairs and couches are scattered across the space, and paintings by local artists cover the walls. Best of all? All of these decor pieces are for sale.
Owner Angela Koch Stockham said she was tired of showing up at luncheons and galas to find other women wearing the same shift dress or gown as she was. For Asquared, she travels to show rooms in Miami, California and New York to find pieces unavailable anywhere else in the South Florida market. Not only can she guarantee you’ll be the only one at your event in that dress, she also promises something else: “You’re gonna always get a compliment.” Amen.
