Sometimes I feel like my phone could tell the story of my life. Not just in terms of who I keep in touch with through call/text/social media, but in pictures. I take pictures of ev-ery-thing.
Sometimes I also like to pretend I have Instagram, and that my phone isn’t too old to support an app that 90 percent of the cool kids have. Instead, I use an app called Pixlr-o-matic, which is almost as cool.
These are some of my favorite recent Instagra– er, pics.
The view from the Fort Lauderdale water taxi, which travels along the New River and Intracoastal in Fort Lauderdale. I had a friend in town and we decided to ride the water taxi to dinner. It was a great way to show her Fort Lauderdale.
The water taxi is $20/person for an all-day pass, or $10 after 5 p.m. It goes all over Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, stopping at several restaurants/bars/shopping areas. Once you have a pass, you can get on and off as you please.
The day we rode the water taxi, we had dinner at 15th Street Fisheries. There was a special for water taxi passengers – a free slice of Key lime pie included with your entree!
My friend Elizabeth and me, before going out downtown. Red eyes are kind of my signature thing.
I went to a Miami Marlins game a few weeks ago with my roommate and some of our neighbors. The new stadium is beautiful and indoors – the least I’ve ever sweated at a sporting event.
My roomie and me at the game.
Had breakfast a few weeks ago at Foxy Brown, near downtown. Oh my god, their breakfast menu might just be the best thing ever. This is my s’mores waffle with nutella. Amaze.
I feel so lucky to live in a place with a view like this.
I went to a fitness event in Miami this past weekend at The Raleigh Hotel. Their pool area is nothing short of stunning. As for the workout, I’m still sore. Three days later.
There is plenty of good pizza in South Florida (Anthony’s, Pizzeria Oceano, etc.) but I honestly think this one is it for me. Cafe Centro in Northwood Village in West Palm. I just tried the margarita pizza there this past weekend and it was the lightest, freshest most delicious pizza I’ve had in the area.
Did you think I was joking when I said I was obsessed with Steak 954? Went there just for dessert a couple weeks ago and had the trio of ice cream sandwiches.
What are your favorite things to do during the summer?
